Our story

Kinya began as a small idea — a room for the neighborhood to slow down in.

We named the café Kinya — ಕಿನ್ಯ — a soft, familiar word borrowed from a language of home. The idea was simple: a place where the coffee is honest, the room is warm, and nobody rushes you out.

Every drink is pulled on our Sanremo Café Racer. Our beans are sourced from small Indian estates, roasted for balance rather than novelty. The pastries are baked in-house each morning, plated on ceramics we shaped ourselves.

Small reasons, mostly. Which is the point.

A room that breathes

A room that breathes

Peach walls, brass edges, sunlight pouring through the tree outside. It's a room that lets you stay.

The regulars have their orders. So will you, after a visit or two.

The café experience

Read a book. Meet a friend. Sit for a while.

Kinya is built for the kind of afternoon that has no agenda. Take the corner table. Order twice. Stay through the rain.

Kind words

From the regulars.

The best flat white in Indiranagar, and I've tried them all. The room feels like a friend's living room.
Aditi R.Regular
I came for the tiramisu, stayed three hours, wrote half a screenplay. That's Kinya.
Ishaan M.Writer
Warm, quiet, unpretentious. They remember your order by the second visit.
